Ambria believes that housing is a human right. No one should be forced out of their homes. Everyone should have safe homes, all residents should be taught their housing rights in their primary language.
We must support increasing renter and homeowner protections, increasing funding to enforce protections and conditions regulations, and expanding services to prevent homelessness. We must embark on replacing all lead service lines. Ambria will support family-sized affordable housing and oppose increasing property taxes on Chicago’s working class to fight gentrification.
