Everyone has a right to a liveable wage, safe, sanitary, and humane working conditions regardless of immigration status, race, language, gender, or area of work. We must protect the right to unionize and expand union power.
Working conditions are our living conditions - our society is shaped by work. Ambria intends to secure a living wage and expand paid sick leave, and supports increasing good paying, public sector union jobs. We must expand job training programs with partnerships for trade union apprenticeships. We must also expand protections and support for our neighbors who are unable to work, whether that be due to disability, age, or other reasons.
Increase Chicago Minimum Wage, repeal the tipped minimum wage with One Fair Wage
Support union neutrality (Labor Peace Agreements)
Support organizing protections for workers to unionize such as the Workers’ Right Amendment
Expand mandatory paid family and medical leave for all
Promote public sector and union jobs
Expand services and support for residents unable to work, like universal basic income expansion, disability and elder income, and social services
Everyone has a right to a liveable wage, safe, sanitary, and humane working conditions regardless of immigration status, gender, or area of work. Protect the right to unionize and expand union power.
Proactively and publicly give ward office support to local labor struggles
Advocate and vote for the Crane ordinance currently in City Council to expand licensing regulations for crane operators
We can’t do this without you.
